A tradition during Ramadan

#MamaKhan invited the whole family for lunch today and as usual, cooked up a feast!

May Bank holiday weekend means am afternoon spent making hanging baskets

One for me and one for #Mamakhan

(I’m now waiting for the calls from my sisters with their orders)!

Writing my next book - I’ve got the story in my head but it’s harder than I thought it would be getting out on paper!

Plus #MamaKhan keeps calling to tell me about her new sofa and what colour cushions she’s going to buy for it!

Taking #MamaKhan grocery shopping and rather than going to one shop for everything she insists on going to lots of different shops for the best produce

Me: Ma, please hurry I have things to do.

Mum: I had things to do, but then I had seven children

Feeling very lucky

Delivering food parcels filled with samosas, pakoras, chickpea curry, home made fruit salad and dates to our multicultural and multi-faith neighbours and friends on behalf of #MamaKhan who has spent the afternoon putting them together for Ramadan

I’ve realised there are 2 versions of #Mamakhan :

The first is a lovely friendly funny woman who is a joy to be around

Then there’s “KITCHEN” #MamaKhan who, if you mess with her cooking, spices, chopping or cleaning or don’t do as you are told- all hell will break loose!
