そう言えば、この論文で新種記載されているMetarhizium chaiyaphumenseというハヤカワセミタケに似た虫草、日本国内で「Metarhizium cylindrosporum」とされているものと酷似したアナモルフを作るとされているのが非常に興味深いですね

あれだけ懸命に鳴いていたヒグラシの命が、最期は静かに蝕まれもの言わぬ菌に置き換わる

晩夏の林床で見られるMetarhiziumの美しさは印象深い

ボーベリアかと思いきや特徴的な緑色

コメツキムシの幼虫？から発生していたメタリジウムと思われる子

ちょうど近くにいたコテングタケモドキらしき子の上でパシャリ

樹上の生きているヒグラシ♂と、地上の死んでいるヒグラシ♂。2枚目はセミカビ（Metarhizium cylindrosporum ？）に寄生されたもので、複数確認。ヒグラシ生は初めて見た気がします。3枚目はヒグラシヤチニクバエに寄生されたもの。手に取ったら、お腹の中を動き回るウジが見えました。

アリの成虫が緑色の粉に覆われていました。これも実は冬虫夏草の1種。宿主から察するにカイコの緑きょう病菌ではなく、Metarhizium anisopliaeでしょうね。
