Today’s #Archive30 is #MiniMilestones which is our new timeline! It had been planned for so long so we were excited when it went up in September detailing the school’s long history and showing some of our amazing archive items!
Day 24 of #Archive30 is #MiniMilestones We are about 50% through cataloging our archive! Thanks to our fabulous volunteers who, pre-pandemic, had been busy box-listing! We can’t wait to be finished and have a functional catalogue for pupils and researchers to use #HutchieHistory

#Archive30 There are several key steps we follow when processing records and the completion of each are always #MiniMilestones ! The first step is box listing when we assess and review a collection. Former trainee, Nessa, recently box listed the papers of James S. Symon & Son 📦📝
For #MiniMilestones of #Archive30 we have an update on 'Opening Up the Body: The Post Mortem Case Books of St George's Hospital'. We have now catalogued 27839 cases and 75 volumes dated between 1841 and 1920 are now available to view on our catalogue at archives.sgul.ac.uk
We had a brilliant day yesterday celebrating our 50th birthday and the launch of our “Treasures of Teesside Archives” exhibition which runs all month
We were even honoured to have the mayors of Middlesbrough, Redcar & Cleveland and Stockton attending

Today we celebrate #MiniMilestones and want to give a shout out to our volunteers! This year they have completed two projects – the St Sannan's Burial Registers 1921-2001 and cleaning and repackaging twenty boxes of Cwmbran Development Corporation documents!
