Took an hour to inspect the changes in our #NatureRestorationFund riparian action areas yesterday.
Wonderful to see the trees growing, Japanese Knotweed dead & Comfrey and Cow Parsley blooming now that grazing pressure has been reduced.

Last week we were being filmed by Mike and Sherrill for NatureScot with some of our volunteers out on the saltmarsh collecting sediment samples and in the polytunnel. Great fun for us, we hope they got some good images.

The stand of Sea Club Rush (at the back of this image) is helping take some of the energy out of the waves allowing this piece of fragmented saltmarsh to extend into the estuary, further protecting the saltmarsh.
