Starting the holidays with a quick bit of CLPL at #SLGConf23 , looking at diversity and inclusion in school libraries. Food for thought for the new term.
Enjoying catching up this morning with the recent CILIP SLG online conference. Great programme of speakers with plenty food for thought, ideas to try and books to buy! #SLGConf23 Keith Grammar School LRC
Great to speak in a keynote session at the CILIP SLG conference today! A pleasure to chat with Sarah Mears & Jo Cotterill, & to be able to showcase work from across The High School of Glasgow & my library with an empathy focus! #SLGConf23 #EmpathyDay EmpathyLabUK

Wonderful presentation from Just Like Us at the CILIP SLG #SLGConf23 on the importance of diverse & inclusive resources in school libraries & the #library as a safe space. Also very excited that Simon James Green is joining us tomorrow to discuss Boy Like Me, pictured here!
That’s a wrap #SLGConf23 ! It never ceases to amaze me that, in this often bleak world, there are librarians, authors, illustrators & publishers who volunteer their time to ensure that kids can find the right book at the right time. Diverse, inclusive & agents for change indeed!❤️
We'll be attending the #SLGConf23 tomorrow, celebrating #SchoolLibraries as places of diversity and agents for change!
We hope to see some of you there; look out for Georgia Davis from Exact Editions, we'd love to connect!

I got to interview the inspirational Holly Bourne for our #SLGConf23 - I know it looks like I’m winking weirdly at her but this is just what I look like when confronted with a literary hero, ok?! If you haven’t read You Could Be So Pretty yet do it, it’s life changing!
That's the @cilipslg AGM done plus an inspiring talk from Nicholas Poole. Have managed to grab something to eat & I'm back with my G&T ready for the #slgconf23 evening entertainment! Bring it on ....
For those that attended my #SLGConf23 seminar today, this is Ayesha that I mentioned! Ayesha- bookseller of inclusive books is an invaluable source of information for diversity in school libraries of any age!
