Was pleased to find 3 beautiful Anatis ocellata (Eyed Ladybird) this afternoon! One on Cherry, one on Larch, and one on Pine! #VC40Ladybirds
vc40ladybirds π Turkey roll I think. Got a few looks today when seen hitting a tree with a stick whilst holding a big turkey roasting tray. People stayed well away !
Was looking for Horseshoe LB again but happy to find Ivy LB and as a bonus a Curculio glandium fell out of the Ivy as well.
Amazing! I had no idea that a π could be so small. I think itβs a Red-flanked Ladybird (Scymnus interruptus) on my garden table.

Anatis ocellata (Eyed LB), on Garlic Mustard, under that Douglas fir! A gorgeous Myrrha 18-guttata (18-spot LB) on Pine, & the star of the day, Scymnus interruptus (Red-flanked LB) being the most NW record in the county to date! Now to fill the gaps! #VC40Ladybirds #MicroLadybird

S. paganus is eaten up inside the body by Nothoserphus scymni during the larval stage.
