Dr Diana Atwine, the Ministry of Health Permanent Secretary has urged the residents of Kazo to get tested & vaccinated against Hepatitis B which she said is highly infectious, much more than HIV.
Dr. Atwine made the remarks during the National Commemoration of #WorldHepatitisDay
Thanks to the discovery made by medicine laureates Harvey Alter, Michael Houghton and Charles Rice, we are finding better ways to treat hepatitis C. Now almost 95% of hepatitis C infections can be cured, saving millions of lives around the world.
