I’ve finally had confirmation I’m allergic to red meat (alpha-gal syndrome). Caused by a tick bite I got whilst bird ringing on the east Norfolk coast in 2021, and is severe enough to sometimes cause anaphylaxis. Just when you thought you couldn’t hate ticks more!
