The Adelaide Linear Park Bee hotels are buzzing with life! 🏠🐝One of my favourite visitors is this Ghost wasp, Gasteruption mixtum. πŸ‘»These sleek insects are on a mission, diligently searching for native bee nests to lay their eggsπŸ•΅οΈβ€β™€οΈ

Absolutely iconic near my office at BioSciences UniMelb University of Melbourne; incredible use of a no-longer used doorway. It brings me so much joy to visit the and see who is home on different days and in different seasons 😍🐝

I saw these bees loaded with mites in a beehotel. Does anyone know if this heavy mite infestation is caused by the use of an older beehotel?

Great to see a hive of activity at the today. Red mason bee (Osmia bicornis) males jostling to be first in line for an emerging female... only to find a freshly hatched male, who left a little gift πŸ˜† 🐝

We are talking and best management practices!!!

Cleaning of the bee pupae reduces pressure from mites, parasitoids, predators, diseases and fungi.

The first house is a rolled paper house.
