Ever heard a bittern boom?
Drop in to the Far Ings Visitor Centre on Mon 6 May, between 10am and 3pm, and you may be lucky enough to hear one.
There'll also be guided walks, crafts and you can find out how the reserve is managed to help bitterns breed.

Wonderful news from our Shorebird Team at Gibraltar Point!
The nests are wonderfully camouflaged but very vulnerable which is why we ask people to stay out of the sanctuary area on the beach.
We're also looking for volunteers to join the team: lincstrust.org.uk/volunteering-o…

The shorebird season is underway!! The first ringed plovers observed scraping today at both Greenshank’s Creek and the Shorebird Sanctuary, with at least 4 actively scraping this afternoon. Birds now hurrying between feeding on the mudflats and protecting territories.
