The mandatory ePass for tourist vehicles entering Ooty and Kodaikanal is just to help district administration to know the data of number and types of vehicles entering the hill stations every day. The Madras High Court has said there shall be no restriction on number of ePasses

E Pass is mandatory for the Tourists visiting Ooty & Kodaikanal from May 7th to June 30th - High Court.

Local people are exempted.
