Sometimes, bowel can be mistaken for kidney. (especially in #hepatorenal cases with ascites and low quality images). Paying attention to the anatomy and recognizing vascular pattern on color Doppler help.

Moving forward to a diagnosis that confuses me: the authors present the criteria of hepatorenal syndrome (HRS) and list 'absence of shock' as one of them while in the text they state that HRS is 'often associated with hypotension'...
