My life for the next couple of weeks ๐Ÿ˜… so far Iโ€™ve bagged up 12 lots of leaves from local street trees, which would otherwise have ended up in the incinerator. Happy to be helping them reach their natural destiny ๐Ÿ›Happy for my garden. Happy for me! God I love ๐Ÿ‚

Fallen leaves are such a valuable resource in the garden, it would be a shame to waste them. If they're in the way, stuff them into old compost bags, pierce the sides and within a year, you'll have the most amazing soil improver for your borders! ๐Ÿ‚๐Ÿ‚๐Ÿ‚

First day of spring and the Andrena clarkella boys were out and about subjecting all and sundry to their very own form of toxic masculinity down there in the leafmould. Luckily i was there with my camera for once to gather evidence against them...shouldn't be allowed !

Love leafmould and leave peat where it belongs! Itโ€™s taken a couple of years but Iโ€™ll be using this for some seed sowing over the next couple of months gardenorganic.org.uk/leafmould Garden Organic

The woods are a frost pocket here & snowdrops flower later than ones in gardens but I love to see them pushing up through leafmould & fallen moss-covered branches. In this setting the simplicity of a snowdrop is set off beautifully.
