People and Politics #LoanCharge workers have long experience with both HM Treasury and HM Revenue & Customs stonewalling LC-related FOI requests. Perhaps the most shameful example being HMT resisting release of the draft Morse Review Report (the one with unmerged HMT and/or HMRC comments and edits). Hmm...
Today it was the AGM of the #LoanCharge and #TaxpayerFairness APPG.
Thanks to all members who were able to attend, a good turnout. The same officers have been re-elected.
We will continue to do all we can to challenge the Government and HMRC over the #LoanCharge Scandal.
I am portrayed by the government and HMRC as a cheat, even though I am the victim of miss-selling in a market that was, and still is, completely unregulated.

Astonishingly one firm claimed to “specialise in Contractor tax” despite no previous involvement.
That firm spuriously claimed to have a solution to the #loancharge that had a 65% chance of success which encouraged some ‘victims’ not to settle.

Interesting that all these cases posted by Loan Charge Impact have huge liabilities, often 6 figure. When #LoanCharge was not yet introduced didn't HMRC suggest the average impact was just £10k? Sounds like the impact was toned down to get it over the line.

Mel Stride is ANOTHER incompetent moron who has been promoted for his faiures - This comes as no surprise to me after his involvement with the Mental Health issues around the #LoanCharge scandal.
I am terrified for the future. My mental health is under severe strain, sometimes I sit and can't help crying. All my plans for the rest of my life and retirement are in tatters.

Flims Radar Treasury Committee HM Revenue & Customs UK House of Commons HMRC behaviour that is very familiar to #LoanCharge workers. As are the resultant multiple suicides. With dubious aggressive debt collection methods, HMRC are drifting into grounds for corporate manslaughter. No excuse to say they are just following their tax collection process.
I wonder of those affected by the #Loancharge think this what we might anticipate from a future Labour government (who introduced IR35)?
