Huw Corness @neilcharles_uk I can’t be the only American who read this, sympathized, but had to google Freddo to understand the conversion.

What’s an equivalent in the US, a ~$1 item that most people would be familiar with? A Hersheys bar? I dunno what they cost….

@neilcharles_uk From what I saw, not many felt that way.

These were our numbers.

Only really inevitable if you assumed that City would put a massive winning run together.

Lots of people also felt that the fixture pile-up would be detrimental.

@neilcharles_uk No, I went 15. Can’t understand why 20 is so popular, but I can sort of wrap my head around 10 (but not really).

Tim Farron @neilcharles_uk John Rentoul The bible contains some backward moral teachings, so unless you take a literalist interpretation, even religious morality is a fashion. Second, why do human rights need to be fixed - does this mean they are unalterable?

@neilcharles_uk Well I for one am relieved. If the Govt *does* try to withdraw from the ECHR, God will clearly intervene and simply reinstate the UK as a signatory. That, or smite (mightily, no doubt) all those who try to vote for leaving it. It's a win-win when you think about it.

@neilcharles_uk Their strategy is: enable Tory wipeout to trigger an end to FPTP. Their focus is on the general election in 2028/9.

Tim Farron Mark Liversedge @neilcharles_uk John Rentoul Society X failed to imagine themselves as a child being sacrificed, so they're wrong.

It isn't fashion. It's the very simple heuristic that most of the New Testament was about.

Tim Farron Mark Liversedge @neilcharles_uk John Rentoul They come from empathy, Tim. From putting yourself in other people's shoes rather than deferring to external rules. Jesus talked of this extensively. When you codify a rulebook, ignoring the person in front of you, you've created a false idol.
