NYFB's statement on NYS Legislature passing a neonicotinoid treated seed and pesticide ban. The Assembly passed the bill this evening following Senate passage earlier this week.

The vote is a step backward in protecting our environment and reducing climate impacts.

Late sown, UK neonicotinoid treated beet seeds, went in around first week of May and have had no rain since. Achieving decent weights will require late harvesting (into November). Luckily no sign of aphids. Interesting neonic treated seeds only give protection for 6-8 weeks.
