I delivered this session last night, open to HCPs & the public.

▶️Discussions not questions
▶️DNACPR does not = no care
It's bold talking to combined groups, but it works so well. Great discussions & TY to all who attended.

Have spoken about this Ted talk so much since I watched it earlier in the week! It should be spread far and wide!
A gentle reminder of what we already know but sometimes forget to say ✨️

Since my dad died 6 months ago, I've realised that - in my community UCR role - recognising , acting swiftly to stop the patients being pulled into ED if hospital wouldn't help, and kind honesty with patient and family are even more important to me now than before.

🧵 As my Father goes through this process, Kathryn Mannix's words remain as powerful as ever.

♥️ If only all medics understood that dying is mainly living, they'd understand why Matters , and why it should be talked about, and not avoided.
