On this day in 1982, The Falklands War came to an end with a British victory.
We thank everyone who served for their country, and I'm remembering all those who gave their lives in its defence.

On 8th June 1982 we lost 48 good men in the single biggest single loss of life since WW2, tomorrow is the 41st Anniversary of this tragic event. This day will stay with me for the rest of my life, I was one of the lucky ones.
We will remember them.

At 11am today, Saturday 21 May, local people, SAMA82 veterans and serving personnel attended the service of remembrance at San Carlos. 40 years ago hundreds of brave men arrived on our shores and we remembered and thanked all those who never made it home. We will remember them
