A reminder that there were practically zero small boat crossings before Britain left the European Union. There are reasons for that, but no one talks about - one of them is the Dublin agreement that allowed returns.

'Troubled water company warns of 44% increase in bills.'

Thames Water 💧 want to put up your bill by 44% and still be allowed to pay their shareholders over £2,000,000,000 of your money.

Madness, the whole industry is complete and utter madness.

After all the corruption we've seen from the Tory party and everything they've done to bring our NHS to its knees, Sunak dares to suggest it's the sick who can't work who are the problem? The very people he and his party have let down so badly? The sheer nerve of it.

We don't think doctors are the best people to judge whether someone is too ill to work, so we are giving that job to unqualified private contractors, whose pay will depend on finding everyone fit for work.

Hang on…

Thames Water had zero debt when it was privatised in 1989, it currently has £15.6bn.

How much have these ‘lenders’ syphoned off; why is no-one going to prison; and why is the public purse liable for this catastrophic failure?

Investors [sic] should be liable surely?

And another.

This one also includes a pair of new private jets (courtesy of profits made from UK government Covid contracts).

I see that Russel Tarr is running his Practical Pedagogies Conference again Nov 1-2 and that Hywel Bennett is doing the keynote. I went to the last one and he did one of the best talks I have ever listened to (telling a story in a brilliant way).

Lord Ashcroft won £53.3m of NHS contracts in 2021 to supply Locum Doctors to 3 hospitals.

The profits from this were then paid straight to his Cayman tax haven bank accounts.

Let’s play along…

Let’s say Rayner did fiddle £1.5k of tax 9 years ago

Tell you why we’re not raging

Because day after day

We see Tories avoid tax, use our money like it’s their personal piggy bank & funnel billions to their crony cronies

It’s called perspective.

The people behind the Post Office scandal need to be on trial.

As do the Water Company mass polluters, and VIP PPE Lane fraud, and HS2.

But they aren't, they're all still in charge and given Knighthoods.

The UK is a mafia state.

Rishi Sunak what hypocrisy....you're guilty of cruelty, greed & selfishness. You sacrifice the lives & hope of millions at your altar of enrichment. I've never known a more corrupt & disgraceful government. Your words here echo the lies you told on your first day in office. Time to go now
