Every gig venue should appoint one member of the crowd to take crappy photos and video throughout the show. They can then upload the next day for anyone who wants a picture or poor quality recording. Everyone else can put their phones away and enjoy themselves.

1) You're doing it wrong and/or
2) It's bad for you
and thus
3) We should seek to avoid or automate it
