Justice Secretary Alex Chalk KC MP has said that a justice system which ensures the innocent walk free is a priority for him.

Andrew Malkinson and APPEAL therefore hope he will act decisively to bring in new leadership at the Criminal Cases Review Commission.

I agree with Andrew Malkinson: 'too little, too late' and I echo his call for Alex Chalk KC MP to bring in new leadership at the CCRC.

How many more people have been let down by the CCRC? I await the review of the service with interest.

Legal aid for people wishing to challenge miscarriages of justice with fresh lawyers will remain inaccessible to anyone who has less than £1000 capital & £99 income a week. There's already a huge problem of lack of representation for people in this situation
