Another great weekend meeting residents across Leeds South West and Morley. We found lots of support for our local Labour candidates ahead of Thursday 2nd May.

We had some great conversations with residents. Always nice to find people who’ve returned their postal vote for Labour🌹

Good to call in at Dixons Unity Academy on Friday for their Unity Community birthday celebrations with our local election candidate Richard Banks.

This is a fantastic local project which has supported so many local families and brought the #Armley community together!

Leeds West MP and Shadow Chancellor Rachel Reeves visited our Bramley depot today with Mark Sewards as we complete the largest fleet of zero emission buses in West Yorkshire. She was keen to hear how we’ve partnered with West Yorkshire Combined Authority to improve bus services 🚍

Alice and I joined Labour North West campaigners on the #labourdoorstep in Blackpool South today.

Lots of people told us they were impressed by local candidate Chris Webb and are planning to #VoteLabour on Thursday 2nd May 🌹

I visited Evri, one of the biggest employers in Morley. We discussed the challenges, opportunities and prospects for their business.

We talked about their great work with the GMB Union and the key measures that they support in Labour’s New Deal for Working People ⬇

After 14 years of Tory chaos, families across Yorkshire are worse off.

On Thursday May 2, Yorkshire will have a chance to send a message to the Conservatives - it is time for change.

A wonderful night at the Morley Mayor’s Charity Dinner at Morley RFC!

We celebrated Susan and Christine’s amazing year in office and raised crucial funds for two great local causes, Drighlington Memory Cafe and Churwell Environmental Volunteers.

As the end of the holy month of Ramadan approaches, I want to say Eid Mubarak to those celebrating in Leeds and around the world.

Thank you to Riaz Ahmed , Pudsey Labour candidate, and Arshad Khatana, Chairman of Armley Mosque, for hosting an Iftar meal.
