Lewis Goodall Andy Street Richard Parker for West Mids Mayor 🌹 Will either candidate use their power and influence to ensure unprotected leaseholders status is removed. You wouldn't expect a Post Office Master owning 3 branches to be refused compensation in that scandal, so why B2L owners, totally innocent, are expected to pay?

❗We've been raising concerns about shared owners trapped in the building safety crisis for some time.

The Levelling Up, Housing and Communities Committee Select Committee has now published a damning report on shared ownership.

Disappointing but not surprising. Land ownership is, was and always will be about power.

No leaseholder will be surprised to read this thread. The amount of money flowing into the hands of those who have monetised our homes is not worth giving up without a fight. The lobbying must be off the charts.

We were repeatedly told by Department for Levelling Up, Housing & Communities ministers that it was HM Treasury & Rishi Sunak who consistently blocked moves to protect leaseholders from the costs of & the .
So this is true to form for Mr Sunak. He is in the pockets of freeholders & developers.

3️⃣ years since we met ABI British Insurance Brokers' Association Department for Levelling Up, Housing & Communities to discuss the buildings insurance market failure.

3️⃣ more years of huge premiums & secret commissions.

3️⃣ years of warm words.

But the long-awaited Reinsurance Scheme remains nowhere to be seen.

Lewis Goodall Does Bham City Council employ any accountants?

Games athletes village cost £500m and produced 1000 flats. Ie £500k per flat. Flats sell in Brum at about £200-250k on average. So sales is £250m

A £250m loss at best!!

Who pocketed this?

The below is VERY good 👇

MPs are currently being emailed by obviously astroturf groups set up by rentiers, like 'Pensioners for Ground Rents'. > Its such a scammy 'industry.'
