In return for these payments the NFSP have stood by. They lost their status as a trade union in 2013.

In recent days, we have seen a sharp rise in membership. Postmasters and Postmistresses can finally get the representation they deserve.

A High Court judge ruled ruled that the Post Office 'effectively controls' the NFSP.  Furthermore, 'the NFSP is not remotely independent of the Post Office, nor does it appear to put its members’ interests above its own separate commercial interests.'

But here’s the key. The Post Office effectively shut out the CWU and funded their own body.

They have handed the sub federation of sub postmasters between £22.5m and £37.5m in the last 15 years.

This body is wholly funded by the Post Office.

The CWU represents members in Crown Post Offices. The bigger town / City ones.

We also have around 350 sub post office members. We have successfully defended all of them against attacks from the Post Office.

Many people are asking why CWU does not represent all Post Office workers.
