New York City Council: Permanently end the lien sale & replace it with an system that holds neglectful property owners accountable. A new system can recoup taxes, keep families in their homes, AND keep our housing out of the hands of corporations.

The tax lien sale is not an enforcement mechanism-- in fact NYC loses the leverage it has over property owners when it gives liens to a private company for 70 cents on the dollar.
