39 years ago today the City of Philadelphia dropped a bomb on a rowhouse on Osage Avenue belonging to MOVE, a West Philadelphia-based Black liberation and activist group.

The bombing and fire killed 11 people, and destroyed 61 homes.

It was an absolute joy and privilege to cover the Philadelphia Eagles over the past three years.

I’m extremely proud of the work produced, but I am even more excited for whatever is ahead.

Shame on The Inquirer, and bosses who continue to decimate our reporting staff while requiring more and more work every day with fewer resources. These were talented, valued colleagues, and losing them just hurts the city in the end. Readers notice.
