Had an awesome time at #SGGDExeter2024 this week. Thanks, Mike Weedon, Sarah Flanagan, Andrew Hattersley, and team for organizing a great meeting! Greatly enjoyed seeing so many great people and learning with all of the fantastic talks!
As #SGGDExeter2024 comes to an end, MassGeneral News rising star Miriam Udler closes the meeting by sharing her views on whether partitioned polygenic scores can illuminate the heterogeneity in type 2 diabetes, inform mechanism and potentially influence diagnosis and management.
“I understand how tough it can be living with type 1 and this motivates me to work towards a cure”
- Dr Chloe Rackham, a JDRF-funded researcher who lives with #Type1Diabetes .

Another fascinating talk at #SGGDExeter2024 : new MGH Research Scholar Melina Claussnitzer, Ph.D. presents her group's work correlating genetic variants & polygenic scores to molecular processes underlying metabolic disease, shedding light on mechanisms of insulin resistance Mass General Brigham
All set up and ready to welcome over 190 delegates to Exeter. Looking forward to three days of talks and discussions on the genetics of diabetes (and hyperinsulinism!). The sun has even made an appearance for us. #SGGDExeter2024
Very honoured to recieve this award from Dr.V.Mohan MDRF. Privileged to visit Dr Mohan’s outstanding comprehensive clinical service offered to people living with diabetes - the best I have seen anywhere in the world. Very humbling to see how much you have achieved diabetesgenes
