We want to express our sincere gratitude to Mensun Bound for an enjoyable evening at the Historic Dockyard Museum. His captivating talk on Shackleton in the Falklands provided us with a wealth of new and fascinating information that we were unaware of.

I just want to say a big well done to Team who once again told the committee that they have no wish to be colonised by their bullying neighbours in Argentina. Decolonisation is not recolonisation and is an enshrined right under the UN Charter.

41 years ago today, the Falklands were liberated by British forces.

Immeasurable sacrifices were made to protect our right to freedom, sovereignty and democracy.

Never take these rights for granted.

14 June is Falkland Islands Liberation Day. This plaque, near Ragged Staff Gates in Gibraltar commemorates the key role Gibraltar played in the conflict. Our thoughts are with all the Falkland Veterans today on Liberation Day.
