Radfan - A concerted operation involving 3 PARA, 45 Commando and Federal troops to capture the Dhanaba Basin, a Radfan tribal stronghold, began in April 1964.

3 PARA lost two killed and several wounded clearing the fort and village buildings at El Naquil.

We are very sad to hear that 13 PARA veteran Tom Schaffer has passed away after a short illness. Ardennes and Rhine crossing veteran, Tom was the National Standard bearer for many years and is immortalised as the veteran face of the PRA. Our sincere condoleneces to his family.🇬🇧
