Hannah OT Helen Jolly Ooh I see you mention drinking whilst pregnant so I'm guessing you know about FASD (fetal alcohol syndrome disorders) and how symptoms can be very similar to autism? I don't usually see many people talking about it.

Helen Jolly Dr Jay Watts Absolutely, the lack of attunement by the caregiver. This is the trauma that's missed and is so rife. We can survive the big T if we've had attunrment As trauma comes from the word wound, I like to frame it that way with my clients

Helen Jolly Mad In America I'm no expert, but from what I've read symptom clusters (auditory and visual hallucinations, paranoia, delusions etc...) have different genes that go towards them. High emotional sensitivity alone is not enough to explain many forms of psychosis I don't think.
