Attended C40 meeting of Mayors/Mayor equivalents at New York on 18th Sep’23.Mayors of New York, Paris, Milan Buenos Aires, Dhaka, Manila, Vancouver & others were present.I had the speaking opportunity to present Mumbai Climate Action Plan (MCAP-22).

Attended High-Level Climate Finance Roundtable on Urban Climate Finance on 19th Sep’23 at New York, convened by German Federal Ministry for Climate Action.I emphasized the importance of direct funding of cities by climate action funds to ensure rapid climate mitigation.

Launch:Climate Finance Pledge – Zero Emission Freight Partnership organized by C40 cities group in New York.I got an opportunity to showcase Mumbai’s action plan under implementation for BEST bus fleet electrification and introduction of nearly 10000 buses in Mumbai by 2026.

Attended UN Climate Summit on 20th Sep’23 at UN headquarters in New York,chaired by Mr. A Guterress, Secretary-General, UNO & attended by Climate Action Ministers for UK, Canada, Namibia, Indonesia, Australia, Fiji, ,South Korea, Brazil, Euthopia, Sweden and many other countries.
