Great new active travel link at Gourock opened.
Was good to be part of this ribbon cutting ceremony (can you spot me in the video) and then showing the Minister the Inverclyde Bothy at Gourock station run by Cycling UK in Scotland.

He heard about the work we do enabling people to cycle and met volunteers who led a health walk this morning.

Earlier today, we joined Minister for Active Travel Patrick Harvie 🇪🇺🌈, @TransportScotland and project partners Inverclyde Council, ScotRail and Network Rail Scotland to officially open an improved and rerouted connection along #NationalCycleNetwork Route 75 in Gourock Station 🧵

This is a great digestible summary of loads of evidence about creating health and wealth through connected walkable places. Lots of useful stats to add power to our elbows.

This week we have enjoyed holding an exhibition stand at Holyrood, Scottish Parliament.

It's not often you get to meet so many MSPs and brief them about the investment and action needed to make the benefits of #cycling real for the people of #Scotland .

First use of the clyde street upgrade, that first junction still bothers me but I assume not completely finished. Goes from two way to one way after the junction (it will be used two way because the location envites it) actually feels bigger than I expected, smooth surface etc👍

Yet again, evidence shows that removing cars and making people/cycle friendly streets increases footfall.

It's a wrap. Our week in Scottish Parliament is over and it has been brilliant.

We have spoken to 47 MSPs plus researchers and other parliament staff and had excellent conversations.
