Here at MWL our vision is to provide 5 star patient care. Today, some of our staff are going to explain more about how we do this.

The NHS bowel cancer screening kit can detect signs of cancer before you notice anything is wrong.

The kit is automatically posted to everyone aged 56 to 74, and the programme is expanding to include those aged 50 to 55 by 2025.

Dr Ash Bassi, Consultant Gastroenterologist Mersey & West Lancs Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust explains the important of screening, especially in the North West where incidence rates of bowel cancer are high.

Your next poo could save your life. Detecting bowel cancer at the earliest stage makes you up to nine times more likely to survive.
