Personnel from #TeamLossie 8 Sqn have marked the anniversary of the 1990 Shackleton WR965 crash.

In April, they attended an intimate ceremony on the Isle of Harris.

A new plaque and cairn were unveiled, commemorating the 10 aircrew who sadly lost their lives and their families.

✈ To commemorate the 80th anniversary year of the Dambusters Raid, we’re joining forces with RAF Typhoon Display Team once again to present a unique formation that can be seen at selected air shows this display season.

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas…. 🎅 ❄️ ⛄️ As you can see the North Scotland area has a weather warning on Wednesday for SNOW!!

On Sunday, staff and cadets from the squadron attended the Remembrance Day service at Skene Parish Church. Following the service, CWO Weideman laid a wreath at the war memorial.

Very much enjoyed catching up with OC 663 Astra Ground School (AGS) and his team (including a QAIC graduate and Air Cadet Mentors) this morning, to witness some superb aviation training being provided for our RAF Air Cadets. It was great to be back at RAF Lossiemouth again.

CWO M Barclay was also in attendance to receive the Purdie Sword, presented to the top Cadet in Scotland and Northern Ireland Region. An amazing achievement after an equally amazing year for Megan!

Today, #Team102 were at MOD Caledonia in Rosyth for the annual Scotland and Northern Ireland Regional Field Day. We were proud to represent North Scotland Wing in the PR competition and happy to say we absolutely smashed it and placed 1st!🤩

And finally WO Mortimer was presented a Commandants Special Commendation for all of his hard work and dedication during his time as Regional Warrant Officer and further.

As part of a wider programme to commemorate the Battle of Britain it was a real honour today to be able to host Commandant of the Polish Air Force University, Brig Gen Cur. The delegation visited the RAF Officer Training Academy and Polish sites of interest across Lincolnshire.

Absolutely outstanding effort by #Team102 representing North Scotland Wing at todays Regional competition day.

Each of our cadets will be getting an opportunity to do this over the coming weeks, possibly even continuing on to do instructor training 👩‍🏫.
