#5albums21cFinal Its release surprised & delighted all Silver Jews fans. The joy was tragically brief. I couldn't listen to it for years after his death. I've played it a lot in the last year or so, & it is a fitting end to an illustrious career. Beautiful, dark & deeply moving.

Both deserve to be in my 5 but Iโm sticking to one album per artist..both masterpieces in my book, absolutely elite level, one however is hitting the spot that little bit more tonight ..

#5albums21cFINAL #albumoftheday The War on Drugs Lost In The Dream (2014) Laconic epics that rely on feel and emotion rather than pace and flamboyance. Reminds me of Forth by The Verve. I've grown to adore this album - the ultimate grower. Best track - Suffering #NowPlaying

Super dense, a real labour of love. So much great stuff here.
Tragedy is Kendrick, like Flying Lotus, too often sits in the 'too difficult to do' drawer of folks with no concentration who expect all music to be easy.

A remarkable record-thereโs really nothing quite like itโฆ absolutely top tier. Would be taking my top spot in this final if it wasnโt for both Radiohead albums. 10/10 all day long๐
