A big morning for posters at Visit Olivia at A51Z-2314 to hear about our framework for describing the partitioning of ionizable organics and I'll be at A51I-2016 sharing first looks at some data from THE CIX, led by Cora Young

After Chemours said that TFA is a naturally occurring organic acid with a similar structure to acetic acid found in vinegar (!!!), this article used mine, Amila De Silva & Cora Young's paper to explain why that is an incorrect claim. sciencelink.net/opinie-and-ana…

New in Nature Chemistry, I write about trying to make my priorities clear early in my career, and figure out how I want to decide how to say 'yes' and 'no' to things. Always a work in progress and worth revisiting nature.com/articles/s4155…

Hi!
I’m Ayomide, a 3rd year PhD student at UBC Chemistry
I investigate the fate of key organic compounds in the atmosphere (focusing indoors).

I also happen to be one of the people doing cool science at the current THE CIX (associated with ) campaign.

The last sentence of this paper (which I hadn’t read until today!) is “rather, the main source may be some naturally occurring organofluorine”.

The idea that just because we can’t explain something means it may be naturally occurring is a bad hypothesis.
