At 18, my academic advisor told me that “higher education might not be for you” as I struggled my 1st year at Uni. I was determined to prove him wrong. Yesterday, this first-generation, state-schooled student graduated from Cambridge with a PhD.

Clinical skills day University of Cumbria Nursing today. Managed to practice #cannulation , something I have had reservations about whether I could manage to do this with my disability. Pleased to say I did it without any issues. This feels a fantastic achievement as I near qualification.
