If we’re serious about their safety, we must have honest discussions about legislation being debated by #CAleg . Let’s be clear. As written, #SB1414 will actually expose minors, particularly LGBTQ minors, to felony prosecution.

#CAleg must ensure that good criminal justice policy – not sensational political rhetoric – dominates the discourse. Anything short of that is a disservice to survivors and fails to center public safety. We urge the committee to fix #SB1414 .
