Not every project has to spend millions to make a real impact locally; in Ayrshire since 1993 Heritage BPT have been quietly buying in turn >10 different small historic but derelict properties, restoring them & selling on as usable family homes.

This fascinating map by Andy Arthur 🐣 Threadinburgh 🧵 beautifully illustrates the extensive Glasgow tram network in 1938, with over 1,000 municipally-owned trams connecting communities as distant as Clydebank and Airdrie. Imagine if Glasgow City Council could resurrect even a fraction of this today.
