This is my wife’s teenaged Great Uncle Bill, lost on HMS Neptune in 1941 with all his mates. The picture is his last card sent from Simonstown, all that is left to remember him by, simply signed ‘To Mum, Love Bill’. We visit his name on the RN Memorial whenever back in Plymouth.
