Summary: we are leaving Twitter because Elon Musk is encouraging hate and division. See you on LinkedIn and Mastodon!

Tim Ottinger Expected Behavior You're assuming there's only a single initiative that is flowing through these teams. You can't pull people out for every cross cutting initiative. This is why it doesn't work at scale. The best solution is to design your teams to reduce these tight dependencies. Team Topologies

@viktorcessan Matthew Skelton #BLM πŸ’™πŸŒ» With this approach, it's normal that this group can detect problems of flow, dependencies, poor practices, high cognitive load, etc. So they're in a privileged position to make some recommendations in a 'flow enabling' kind of way.

@viktorcessan Matthew Skelton #BLM πŸ’™πŸŒ» We worked with a client where the agile coaches were a strong group, coming together often to discuss issues across teams, looking for common challenges and learning from each other. I think that's step 1, that coaches feel part of a group, not just acting individually.

Now on Mastodon or BlueSky Anna Baker Mario Lopez de Avila Matthew Skelton #BLM πŸ’™πŸŒ» The whole β€œlet anyone change anything” model works fine for small groups of people (context is super important in all of this). At scale? It’s a hot mess, *especially* if you have aspirations for the β€œyou build it, you run it” model.

@viktorcessan Matthew Skelton #BLM πŸ’™πŸŒ» There are enabling teams and enabling behaviors. I'm not sure how helpful it is to necessarily label a team as 'enabling' or not. The more important question I think is 'should they have enabling behaviors'? Are they gate keeping some expertise that other teams require?
