Proud to join Council Member Chi Ossé, Phara Souffrant Forrest and Shaquana for Brooklyn in calling on the administration to develop this crucial protected bike lane on Bedford Avenue. Our communities have demanded it. Now it's time for the administration to deliver.
My Comprehensive Plan for Brooklyn called on NYC Parks to survey the accessibility of our park entrances.
Yesterday, by my request, Council Member Shahana Hanif, Council Member Shekar Krishnan, and Council Member Linda Lee introduced a bill to do that and more.
And yes, of course Intro. 870 calls for a map 🗺️

Also noting its been over 6 months since Vanderbilt has run on a Sunday.
Cozine Ave and Wortman Ave in Brooklyn have seen a 55% decrease in car collisions since we installed protected bike lanes leading to Shirley Chisholm State Park.
Thanks to those who joined Saturday for a #BikeMonth group ride! Try the route: bit.ly/3Urp44l
