Today we remember the 3 Lancashire Police officers who died attempting to rescue a man from the sea near Blackpool.Police Memorial created the UK’s 1st police Roll of Remembrance. Today the Roll of Honour displayed within the National Memorial displays the names of 21 officers who died on this day in history. 10 were killed in 1940 in the Manchester Blitz. Other officers died later of their injuries.
