Protesting the potential (temporary) closure of section of the Roseburn Path for tram works by… closing the path (fake sign).

Intellectually inconsistent; folks who have encountered this will have had to route around. Poor show. Action disowned by Save The Roseburn Path group.

Wonder if it’s the double reds, dropped crossing or pavement parking that means you can’t park there. They must cancel each other out.

Our footways aren’t going to improve unless the courier exemption is removed.

edi.bike | weekly news digest Cllr Christopher Cowdy Harry Williams 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇪🇺 “We have data to show only a few strong swimmers cross this fast river, so we shouldn’t invest in a bridge”

Opposite: measure on North Edinburgh/ Roseburn Paths, Mid Meadow Walk - it’ll show high cycle use.

Built it not for those who dare to use it now, but those that don’t.

Cllr Christopher Cowdy Harry Williams 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇪🇺 Big issue - where ‘needed most’ is:

Everywhere, as a consistent network.

We don’t get there through taking out infrastructure that’s non-ideal, we get there by improving what we already have.

It’s fortunate that Conservative amendments are consistently voted down at TEC.

These modal filters significantly reduced speeding in the area and reduced traffic by 40%. The LibDems voted to remove these filters... council report said speeding would go back up... yet LibDems claim to want to reduce speeding. Disingenuous at best

We’ve been quiet since the HGV driver was sentenced in March for killing , cycling to university last year in Glasgow. It’s been rough. But our work to make the roads safer for all must continue. Yes, a bike network is key. More people on cycles is crucial.
