Was happy to feature a traveling trunk from American Battlefield Trust this year! Students engaged in activities that had them looking at various aspects of camp life and warfare. Very student-friendly artifacts and it sparked some great discussions!
Thank you Adam Moler for your 'Virtual Museum' template. For my Pre-Civil War Unit, students created 3 exhibits on 3 themes based on this unit: balance, conflict, resistance/abolitionists.
Very thoughtful responses that go far past any multiple choice or short response question.

Shoutout to Lois MacMillan (the 🐐) for her awesome “Picturing Frederick Douglass” lesson! It introduced Mr. Douglass to my classroom by having students analyze pictures of Douglass throughout his lifetime & contemporary depictions of him. Can’t wait to dig into his story more!

Students read about the election of 1800 & had to create a comic strip. The dramatic election was a perfect backdrop for this activity!
