The auditorium was packed Ark Soane Academy today for the sell-out history teaching conference. Ark Schools & Ventures history curriculum puts stories at its heart and this conference explored how and the impact it can have.

This is superb!

This photo doesn't lie. It captures the joy of Ark's history curriculum: knowledge-rich in best sense (extended stories, world-building, learning to argue, bags of scholarship). I've worked closely with Ark hist lead Jonathan Grande & the fab dept at Ark Soane Academy. What a job!

Understanding understanding is, for me, subject specific.

I think secondary-school social media discourse would be improved if claims about the usefulness of pedagogical activities were explicitly constrained to the subject a teacher is familiar with.
