Recently, EU Council & @europarl_EN agreed on the European disability card & European parking card for persons with disabilities.

Both institutions today provisionally agree to make the benefits of these cards also available to 3rd country nationals with disabilities.

Since taking office in December 2019, the von der Leyen Commission kept the course on its initial priorities while managing some extraordinary crises.

🤝 #CEB was pleased to welcome @EU_social Directors Katarina Ivanković Knežević Ruth Paserman and their team to take stock and strengthen cooperation on European Pillar of #SocialRights , in particular the European Platform on Combatting #Homelessness , and on social inclusion via #InvestEU .

About 90 million people in the EU have a disability. Many of them face hurdles when travelling.

It is high time we change this.

The European Disability Card and the Enhanced European Parking Card recognise their rights across the EU and facilitate their mobility.

It aims at making moving freely in 🇪🇺 easier for those with disabilities, marking a huge step towards a more equitable society.
