Delighted to attend the launch of an exhibition by students of Scoil Bernadette at Mayfield Library today.

The exhibition captures the past, present and future of Cork. Amazed by the different things seen by different students in this one picture of St Luke's Church alone. 👏👏

Kilmurry-born Dr Elsie Murphy took the stage while a 1923 Civil War internee in Kilmainham Gaol, where she was medical officer to republican women inmates.
She grew up in a strongly republican home, her father an IRB circle centre, her mother telling tales of Famine and Fenians.
