Black-tailed godwits are returning to breed WWT Welney and other wetland sites around the Fens. If you spot birds with leg rings, look out for individuals with a lime coloured E as one of the rings. These were headstarted by Project Godwit and all sightings gratefully received.
Found the first returning head started Godwits (Limosa limosa) at Welney today three birds with Lime E rings, all recorded to Project Godwit via the website.
