I didn't realise quite how much peat is used in UK mushroom production. Thanks goodness funding is in place to explore alternative production methods. Continuing to use peat like this is not an option. Innovate UK

Great news - the beautiful & unusual lichen Multiclavula corynoides has been discovered for the 1st time in Britain! Sometimes known as Club-wielding Crust Lichen, it was found by our lichen expert Dave Genney when mountain biking around Ben Wyvis. bit.ly/2EVskhO
